DECEMBER 6, 2011 PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ART MUSEUM Lecture: Thomas Hirschhorn
The ISC concluded the 2011 ISConnects series with a co-sponsored lecture by artist, Thomas Hirschhorn at the Princeton University Art Museum. Students and educators listened as Hirschhorn discussed his interactive and site-specific installations, which use common materials including cardboard, foil, duct tape and plastic wrap.
During a Q&A session, both Thomas Hirschhorn and Hal Foster tried to shed some light on Hirschhornís exhibition, Crystal of Resistance. Whereas both Hirschhorn and Foster didnít always agree and at times it was hard to fully articulate the scope of the project, both men were more than willing to honestly answer the audienceís questions.
After the lecture, attendees enjoyed networking and continued the conversation at a reception in the Princeton University Art Museum.
