MUZAFFER TUNCA’S BIO
Muzaffer Tunca is professional member of International Sculpture Center.
MUZAFFER TUNCA has been living on this panet since 1950.
He has been involved in art for years. He didn’t take any formal art education but he worked with Turkish well-known painters, Esref Uren and Osman Zeki Oral in Ankara from 1978 to 1983.
He has a studio. He works there. He has been painting for over 30 years. He uses different media in his paintings. For over ten years he has been using some computer programs to produce his works. His approach to art is abstract. He prefers abstractions. For him, abstraction develops the painter’s creativity and helps him produce works perceived differently by each spectator.
Muzaffer Tunca (1950) tries to turn one dimensional images on his sketchbooks into a three dimensional ones using a touchable, sensible and breakable material. By breakable he means changeable. Each dimension of his sculpture has a different shape and form. Why? Because nothing has one dimension including human beings. He defines himself as “I am a multidimensional being and life is an infinite-dimensional function space for me, and I am trying to create multidimensional sculptures.”
Muzaffer Tunca participated in three art competitons in 2013 organized by See.Me. He passed three levels and in the competition of "Creatives Rising" he deserved to be included in the show to take place in New York on 5 October 2013. And his sculpture was digitally exhibited in New York in December 2013 and in January 2014 in Miami Beach Art Fair.
