Plants, Stainless

Working in close collaboration with Louisiana landscape architect Jeffrey Carbo, FASLA, four sculptural installations are each integrated into a garden room in the Shangri La Botanical Garden and Nature Center. Commissioned by the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation. Inspired by forms found in nature (circle, stripe, branching, spiral) the installations are designed to engage both their gardens and the visitors, offering a unique experience of space and place. A drawing of a plant detail, cut out of stainless steel, references one of the plants within its site. Benches and screens complete the work. View of Circle Room
