Defender of Hope
2006
16”H 14”W 8”D
Bronze w/Patina

This piece is an anatomical half life-sized figure. This fighter for hope is shielded in authentic 15th century amour. “Defender of Hope” represents the timelessness of hope and bravery. The detail of the “Defender of Hope” sculpture is noteworthy. After hundreds of hours of intense hand sculpting, careful tool work and historical research, this piece aims to radiate the beauty and strength of a young protector, defending what is most dear. Finishing and installation details include a granite pedestal to present the sculpture at an ideal viewing height – up close and personal. Because of its unique character, “Defender of Hope” has been as inspirational to create as I hope it is to view.
