Tumbling Weed
2008
Up to 10'x7'x7' (each part)
Stainless Steel

With its Palm Desert location in mind, this stainless steel sculpture is not an actual tumbleweed, but a playful "tumbling weed." Five sculptures appear to tumble across a public plaza, ending in the flowering form of a dandelion. Each part in the sequence has five leaves that take on the appearance of a head, two arms, and two legs -- like a child doing a somersault.
