Unquenchable Thirst
2004
79 x 23 x 15
Bronze

Want and desire are timeless. They are expressed in the attempt to drink from cupped hands that are empty. The timelessness is accentuated by a sense of physical suspense. The heavy head is suspended in air, attached to one hand in a tinny spot. Both hands are barely anchored. Everything is floating as if time and gravity do not exist.
