International Sculpture Center Celebrates its 5th International Sculpture Day with an Exhibition in Carole Feuerman's Studio
The International Sculpture Center (ISC) established International Sculpture Day (IS Day) in 2015 as an annual celebration held worldwide on April's last Saturday to highlight the creation and appreciation of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. This program has been made possible through generous donations by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The inaugural International Sculpture Day brought together more than 50 events in over 12 countries and an estimated audience of 30,000. #isday streams live throughout the week wth an outreach of over 5 million impressions. Each year IS Day expands exponentially with a projection of 900+ events with an audience of 800,000+ in 2019.
ISC hosts its own event every year with an aim to create a connected community with the unified goal of championing sculpture. In celebration of its 5th year the ISC will be exhibiting 5 of our 2018 Student Award winners at Carole A. Feuerman’s studio at Mana Contemporary, 888 Newark Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306. An opening ceremony will be help during Mana's Spring Open House, (April 28 1PM-7PM). Exhibiting artists: Raul De Lara, Ellen Dempsey, Lexi Herman, Ashley a Kerr, Alex Lukas.
