The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member Suzanne Ramljak

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Suzanne Ramljak to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Suzanne Ramljak is Vice President of Collections & Curatorial Affairs at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ramljak was formerly Curator at the American Federation of Arts in New York City. She previously served as Editor of ISC’s Sculpture magazine as well as of Metalsmith and Glass Quarterly magazines. Among the many sculpture exhibitions she has curated are Elie Nadelman: Classical Folk; David Smith: The Nature of Sculpture; and BUSTED: Contemporary Sculpture Busts. Her publications include Natural Wonders: The Sublime in Contemporary Art and Loaded: Guns in Contemporary Art.

“Suzanne will be a valuable addition and asset to the Board,” says Connie Wimer, Board Member of the International Sculpture Center and co-chair of the ISC’s Communications Committee. “Her knowledge of the art world, particularly the world of sculpture, will be most helpful and appreciated. In addition, her knowledge and experience writing and editing in the art genre will greatly enhance the organization’s magazine. We are so fortunate to have her join the Board of the International Sculpture Center.”

ISC Announces New Board Member Philip Barlow

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member Philip Barlow

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Philip Barlow to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Philip Barlow is the Associate Commissioner for Insurance at the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking. Philip and his partner Lisa Gilotty have been active art collectors for over 35 years. The focus of their collection is supporting their local art community. The Art Museum at American University presented an exhibition of their collection in 2023. Philip serves as the board chair for the District of Columbia Arts Center, a board member of Millennium Arts Salon and an advisory board member of the Washington Sculptors Group.

“For decades I noticed a man moving quietly about the DC art scene,” recalls DC artist and ISC board member Renée Stout. “While he seemed very reserved, at museum and gallery openings I noticed an intensity in the way he viewed the exhibitions and engaged with the artists and art lovers. It was only recently that I came to know that this unassuming person was Philip Barlow, an actuary by profession and one of DC’s most dedicated art collectors and supporters. A person doesn't build the kind of in-depth collection he has amassed without being insightful and thinking methodically, qualities that will be beneficial to the ISC as our board works to strengthen the organization and move forward to our goals."

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member Ray Katz

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Ray Katz to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Ray Katz was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He has a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University and an M.F.A. in sculpture from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Ray taught sculpture, drawing, and design and managed the art department at a college in the Detroit suburbs for 48 years while continuing his sculpture practice at an industrial site in Pontiac, MI., where he has mentored numerous young assistants in the pursuit of careers in art and industry. Ray is best known for his large- scale metal sculpture in new and repurposed material. He continues to exhibit sculpture, publicly and privately, throughout the United States, as well as previous exhibitions in Paris, France and Tokyo, Japan. He has large public sculpture at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ and Sculpture Fields, in Chattanooga, Tn. and in other private and public collections. Ray has served on the Board of Mid-South Sculpture Alliance and recently, Chicago Sculpture International.

"Ray is not only a sculptor who is an educator, he is also a road warrior sculptor, the type that has traveled across the United States to exhibit and show support for other sculptors,” says Isaac Duncan III, Board Member of the International Sculpture Center. “I am so happy to welcome Ray into our governing body. Having another sculptor that is true to the craft, the hustle, the stewardship, and cares for giving artists opportunities and resources, will only make our organization stronger and better for our membership."

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member Dr. Livia Straus

(Hamilton, NJ) The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, celebrates the addition of Dr. Livia Straus to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Dr. Livia Straus holds a Ph.D. in Theology from New York University, specializing in Medical Ethics. For many years she served as Director of Education at major religious institutions in both Westchester and Manhattan. She is Professor Emeritus of The Academy for Jewish Religion, a non-denominational Rabbinic Seminary and was Adjunct Associate Professor of Theology at Fordham University.

In addition to her work in academia, Dr. Straus has served on the Board of the Neuberger Museum in Purchase, New York, the Hebrew Union College Museum in Manhattan, and the Contemporary Acquisition Committee at the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. She also served on the Advisory Board for the Cincinnati Museum of Contemporary Art and as Curatorial Advisor for Riyadh Metro, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Straus and her husband, Marc, have been avid collectors of contemporary art since their early twenties, focusing on emerging artists and traveling worldwide to conduct studio visits. Their collection has been the subject of nine touring museum shows. Together, Livia and Marc founded Hudson Valley MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), a public museum in Peekskill, NY, an economically challenged multicultural town one hour north of NYC. Since its founding, HVMOCA has serviced over 25,000 students in challenging education programs, organized 6 editions of Peekskill Project, a city-wide art festival, hosted over 50 artists in residence, and launched exhibitions that have received accolades in the press and in the artist and collector community alike. In 2010, Dr. Straus was recognized for her contributions to education and the development of culture along the Hudson Valley. She is the recipient of the Philanthropist of the Year award.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New ISC Board Chair, Raymond Tymas-Jones, Ph.D.

(Hamilton, NJ) The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the appointment of Raymond Tymas-Jones Ph.D. as Chairman of its Board of Trustees.

Raymond Tymas-Jones was appointed the 10th President of Cornish College of the Arts on July 1, 2018. As an undergraduate institution, Cornish offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art, design, media arts, film, interior architecture, dance, theater, musical theater, and performance production, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree. Other administrative appointments include Dean Emeritus of the College of Fine Arts and the associate vice president for the arts at the University of Utah from 2005 through 2018, dean at Ohio University College of Fine Arts (1998-2005), director of the School of Music at the University of Northern Iowa.

Dr. Tymas-Jones is currently a member of several Boards of Directors, including Pilchuck Glass School, the Strategic National Arts Alumni Project (SNAAP), the International Sculpture Center, Classical 98.1 KING FM radio, Arte Noir, and the Downtown Seattle Association. A member of the International Council of Fine Arts Dean since 1998, Dr. Tymas-Jones was honored with the Distinguished Service Award as President of the organization from 2009 to 2011.

Professor of Music Tymas-Jones has performed as a featured tenor soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kämmergild Chamber Orchestra of St. Louis, the St. Louis Orchestra, the Dortmund, Germany Youth Orchestra, and the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Orchestra. His international credits include performances in such cities as St. Petersburg, Russia; Budapest, Hungary; Groznjan, Croatia; and Ibla, Sicily, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. In 2016, Governor Gary Herbert of Utah honored Mr. Tymas-Jones with the Utah Governor’s Mansion Artist Award.

Dr. Tymas-Jones succeeds Jon Ott, San Francisco-based software executive and the Chief Revenue Officer of Kognitiv Corporation, as ISC Chair. After joining the board in 2020, Jon Ott led the ISC through a transitory period as the organization established a hybrid model of working and new initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Richard Hunt, ISC 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, asked Jon to serve as Vice Chair of the Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation founded in 2023. With that new role, Jon has decided to conclude his board service with the ISC.

Jon Ott states, "Raymond's leadership and dedication to the Arts though his distinguished academic, administrative, and arts career is perfect fit for his new role as Chair. The ISC welcomes the insights gained through his decades of leading young people through their own art and academic careers and holds great promise for building the vibrancy and membership of the sculpture community."

ISC Remembers Glen W. Johnson

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Glen W. Johnson, President of Membership for the Family Office Exchange, Chicago, ISC Board member, and avid supporter of the arts, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Monday, August 2nd, 2022.

He will be remembered by all that knew him for his thoughtfulness, generosity, and unwavering contributions to the arts.

The International Sculpture Center shares our deepest condolences with his family, friends, and loved ones. We will remember Glen for the tremendous impression and impact he made on all those around him.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Janet Dicke to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Janet Dicke is an art collector who graduated in 1968 from Trinity University in San Antonio with a B.A. major in elementary education with a teaching field in art, and currently serves as a Trustee. She was born in Pittsburgh, moved to Houston, Texas, and has resided in Ohio since 1968. As a world traveler she enjoys art expos, most notably the Art Venice Biennale.

Nanci Lanni, Board member of the International Sculpture Center says, “Janet and her husband, Jim, have been art collectors and patrons for over 30 years. Her keen interest in advancing the art form of sculpture, coupled with her previous rolls in leadership, governance, education and design will enable her to engage effectively with the board and to offer the ISC a fresh perspective.”

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Adriano Berengo

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Adriano Berengo to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Adriano Berengo is the visionary behind Glasstress, an exhibition which showcases the best of contemporary art made with glass. Founder of Fondazione Berengo, Adriano has been championing the innovative use of glass as a medium in contemporary art for more than 30 years and has brought over 300 artists to work with the glass masters of Murano in his studio.

Born and raised in Venice he first studied in Italy before graduating from The State University of New York. On returning to the lagoon, where he now lives with his wife and children, he began to invite contemporary artists to work with local glass masters, reinvigorating the ancient material for the modern age. His extensive body of collaborations established him as the figure who was able to open the guarded doors of the Murano furnaces to the international art scene. Today his studio acts as a first point of call for contemporary artists seeking to work with glass, and his collaborations can be found in collections and institutions worldwide.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Caroline Maddox

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Caroline Maddox to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Caroline Maddox, Ph.D. is the Deputy Director of External Relations at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. As an innovative and passionate leader in her field, she is dedicated to expanding the reach of museums and creating meaningful experiences with art for everyone. Maddox earned Bachelor's degrees in Art History and Studio Art at the University of Georgia; a Masters of Art in Art Business at Sotheby's Institute of Art in New York; and a Doctorate in the Philosophy of Art at the University of Georgia.

Maddox has served at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), as Assistant Vice President of Development. She joined LACMA in October 2015 and previously was the Director of Development at the Georgia Museum of Art (2010-2015). In 2017 she was awarded a doctorate in the Philosophy of Art from the University of Georgia, investigating the ways in which museums can build a culture of philanthropy through the education and engagement of the Millennial Generation.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Marin R. Sullivan

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Marin R. Sullivan to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Marin R. Sullivan (PhD, University of Michigan) is a Chicago-based art historian, curator, and consultant. She is the Director of the Harry Bertoia Catalogue Raisonné, and co-curator of Harry Bertoia: Sculpting Mid-Century Modern Life, organized by the Nasher Sculpture Center. She also is Curator-at-Large for Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. Sullivan specializes in the histories of modern and contemporary sculpture.

Sullivan served as Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire, and prior to that appointment, served as the Henry Moore Foundation Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds. She has also taught at DePaul University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Southern Methodist University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Michigan.

Jon Ott, Chair of the International Sculpture Center’s Board of Trustees says, “Marin’s contributions to public art projects and curation of sculpture makes her a great addition to the ISC. She is an established scholar of modern and contemporary art, who as an art historian and curator has made sculpture her focus. Olalekan Jeyifous received a BArch from Cornell University and is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work re-imagines social spaces that examine the relationship between architecture, community, and the environment. He has exhibited at venues such as the Studio Museum in Harlem, the MoMA, the Vitra Design Museum and the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain. In addition to an extensive exhibition history; he has spent over a decade creating large-scale installations for a variety of public spaces and was recently commissioned, along with fellow artist Amanda Williams, to create a monument dedicated to Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm as part of the City of New York’s “She Built NYC” initiative.

Olalekan has been a Wilder Green Fellow at the MacDowell Colony and has completed artist residencies with the Drawing Center’s Open Sessions program and the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center. He has won numerous awards for his artistic practice and is the recipient of a 2021 Fellowship by the United States Artists.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Glen W. Johnson to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Glen W. Johnson is the Chief Operating Officer of Family Office Exchange, a global membership organization serving Family Offices and Advisors in 25 countries. An avid art collector, Glen has held various leadership positions in many organizations. He previously served on the Sculpture Advisory Board of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Glen currently lives outside Chicago in a celebrated 1964 home built by a Mies van der Rohe associate.

Glen has over 30 years of experience working with family offices and business owners first as an attorney and then as a wealth advisor, eventually founding a multi-family office and a business advisory group for a large financial institution. He has worked with business owners and executives across all stages of their business life cycle including business succession.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Isaac Duncan III to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Isaac Duncan III, a Brooklyn, New York native, of Caribbean decent, received his BFA degree from the University of Notre Dame, Certification of Secondary Art Education from St. Mary's College and MFA from the University of Kentucky. Isaac is the Past-President of Mid-South Sculpture Alliance and sits on various art boards and committees; Sculpture Fields at Montague Park, ArtsBuild, and the Tennessee Arts Commission: Arts Education Funds for At-Risk Youth/Arts Education Learning Committee.

Duncan has been nominated for the prestigious Joan Mitchell Foundation Sculpture Fellowship and NIKE private proposals. Isaac is a recipient of the Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship for 2017. His large scale sculptures have been collected by Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia, Lexington Diagnostic Center, Kentucky, African-American Heritage Center, Kentucky, Columbia State College, Tennessee, City of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Erlanger Children’s Hospital Kennedy Outpatient Center and Le Domaine Forget, Quebec, Canada and numerous private art collectors.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New ISC Chair, Jon Ott

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the appointment of Jon Ott as Chairman of its Board of Trustees.

Ott, of San Francisco, California, a proven leader and philanthropist, is currently a Vice President of Sales at Salesforce in San Francisco, California. Jon has been collecting art for 17 years, with extensive sculpture collections by Richard Hunt, Fletcher Benton and Charles Ginnever. Jon has taken an active role in collaborating directly with leaders in the field of sculpture conservation. Jon, together with his wife Molly, has had parts of their collection exhibited at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, David Zwirner Gallery in New York, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Georgia Museum of Art, Monterey Museum of Art, and the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. The ISC is very enthusiastic for this new chapter and looking forward to new initiatives, continued excellence in governance and sustainable growth.

Ott, after joining the Board in 2019 succeeds Robert Duncan, Chairman Emeritus. After 22 years of service on the ISC Board and 2 terms as Board Chair, 2002-2005 & 2017-2020, Robert Duncan, hands over the role. The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Renée Stout to the ISC Board of Trustees.

“I would like to thank you all for inviting me to the ISC board and for your warm welcome. It was for the ISC that I participated on my very first art panel as a professional artist, back in the early 1990's and I have continued, through the years, to respect this organization and its dedication to artists and the sculpture they create. I look forward to working with all of you and also to the day when we can all meet in person.”– Renée Stout, in response to joining ISC Board.

Renée Stout received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1980. She is based in Washington, DC and is the recipient of many awards, including a 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women’s Caucus for Art, the Joan Mitchell Foundation, The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, and most recently, the 2020 Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation Award and a Virginia A. Groot Foundation Award.

Stout’s imaginary characters unfold in a variety of media, including painting, mixed media sculpture, photography and installation. Renée has shown her work in solo and group shows throughout the United States, and in England, Russia and the Netherlands. The common thread running through bodies of my work of the past several years is the continuing need for self-discovery and the need to understand and make sense of human motives and the way we relate and respond to each other.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Julian Voss-Andreae to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Julian Voss-Andreae, a German sculptor based in Portland, Oregon, is widely known for his striking large-scale public and private commissions often blending figurative sculpture with scientific insights into the nature of reality. His sculptures are frequently shown at international art fairs and galleries and can be found in major collections in North America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Voss-Andreae’s work has been featured in print and broadcast media worldwide and videos of his sculpture have gone viral with tens of millions of views.

Prior to his art career, Julian Voss-Andreae studied quantum physics and philosophy at the Universities of Berlin and Edinburgh and did his graduate research participating in a seminal experiment in foundational quantum physics at one of the world’s most prestigious physics research labs at the University of Vienna. His expertise in diverse fields of science and a deep passion for the mysteries of quantum physics have been a continual source of inspiration for his work.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Jon Ott to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Jon Ott is currently a Vice President of Sales at Salesforce in San Francisco, California. Jon began his technology career at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at his alma mater, the University of Illinois. He is a veteran software sales executive who has held Vice President of Sales roles in three software companies in the Bay Area.

Jon and his wife, Molly, have been collecting art for 16 years. They acquired their very first artwork directly from the renowned metal sculptor Richard Hunt at his studio in Chicago. Jon and Molly have extensive sculpture collections by Richard Hunt and Fletcher Benton, both ISC Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture recipients. They also have a significant collection of Charles Ginnever sculptures. Additional major sculptural works in the Ott's collection include Beverly Pepper, Isaac Witkin, Jackie Ferrara, Gabriel Kohn, Antoni Milkowski, Duayne Hatchett, Tony Delap, Bryan Hunt, and De Wain Valentine.

Works from their collection have been exhibited or are currently scheduled for exhibition at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, David Zwirner Gallery in New York, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Georgia Museum of Art, Monterey Museum of Art, and the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Throughout their experience collecting, Jon has taken an active role in collaborating directly with leaders in the field of sculpture conservation including Abigail Mack of Mack Art Conservation in New York; Jack Brogan, a master of fabrication and conservation of light and space art in Los Angeles; and Rowan Geiger of Preservation Arts in Oakland, CA.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Hilary Nitka to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Hilary Nitka lives and works in Park City, Utah. As a lifelong and enthusiastic advocate, follower and patron for the arts, she has served on various boards in Chicago and now in Park City, Utah. After earning a degree in Art History at Northwestern University in 1990, she volunteered in the 20th Century Department at the Art Institute of Chicago, and co-owned a gallery in Chicago that dealt primarily in contemporary photography. With a family move to Utah in 2005, she served on the board of the Kimball Art Center, and created a bespoke concierge service for private clients and referrals who demand experiences beyond the ordinary when visiting Park City, and surrounding areas. Hilary is an avid explorer of the arts in every form, and supports various arts organizations including UMOCA, and Artangel in the UK. Helping art to flourish and thrive, be it emerging artists, a market place for available work or education in the schools, it is imperative to keep all arts alive and people aware.

Sylvia Brown is Secretary/Treasurer of the Brian Wall Foundation, a non-profit, artist-endowed foundation established in 2014 to benefit working artists in financial need. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, she has worked as a gallerist, communications executive and art writer, and has served on the board of several non-profit organizations. She devoted her 30- year career as founding partner of the San Francisco public relations agency Brown & Collins to supporting the arts, creating partnerships among museums, galleries, civic art commissions and business sponsors.

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announced the addition of Shan Shan Sheng to the ISC Board of Trustees.

World renowned artist Shan Shan Sheng, in 1982 came to United States, attending Mount Holyoke College with full scholarship and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts Degree, and continued at Harvard University as an artist-in-residence for two years.

Shan Shan Sheng has held over 40 solo exhibitions in Europe, Asia and America. Her large-scale “Open Wall” project was including in the 53rd Venice Biennale. Her works have been collected by museums around the world. Her public art project “Ocean Wave” at Port of Miami was awarded the best public art project by Americans for the Arts in 2007. Sheng's most recently large-scale multimedia interactive sculpture "Blooming" won International CODAawards in 2019. To this date, Sheng has completed 60 large scales public art projects permanently installed in countries around the world.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, George McLendon

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of George McLendon to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Dr. McLendon is the Vice President of Therapeutic Research and Development at the nation's largest non-profit health care company, Carolina's HealthCare System in Austin, Texas. He is an educator, research scientist and entrepreneur. Some of his educational positions include, Howard Hughes Provost and Professor of Chemistry at Rice University; Dean of Arts and Sciences and at Duke University and Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Duke University; faculty member of the Cancer Center at Duke University Medical School; Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University. McLendon has published over 200 research papers in chemistry, physics and biology and holds multiple patents. His research work has been recognized by multiple awards: including the American Chemical Society's Pure Chemistry Award, the Eli Lilly award for fundamental research in Biochemistry, and Sloan, Dreyfus, and Guggenheim fellowships. His work contributed to founding several companies including Tetralogic (Oncology, NASDAQ), Steamtrax (Digital Education, acquired by 3D Systems NYSE) and Labcyte (Microfluidics, private equity acquisition). He is a founding co-director of TMCx, the largest accelerator for biomedical startups, and serves on advisory and governing boards for several early-stage life science companies.

Aparajita Jain

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Aparajita Jain to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Art purveyor Aparajita Jain is amongst the leading names in the Indian art world, putting the country's contemporary art on the international map. In 2005 she founded gallery Seven Art Limited to showcase cutting-edge ideas in Indian art, discovering pioneering artists like Asim Waqif and Aakash Nihalani. The gallery went on to host the first-ever Indian contemporary art show in China (in MOCA, Shanghai) and opened doors for Indian artists to the Lisbon Biennale. Jain is today the co-founder of Delhi's most avant-garde art space, Nature Morte, showcasing names like Subodh Gupta, Jitish Kallat and Anita Dube. Her non-profit endeavor, Saat Saath Arts Foundation (SSAF), is a first-of-its-kind initiative built to catalyze international art exchange between India and the world. SSAF, working with the Rajasthan government, has created the first permanent International Art Space in the state, at Nahargarh Fort. Jain was listed as one of the 50 icons of Indian Art by Platform, is on the board of the Delhi Chapter of YPO and a founding member of the Harvard South Asia Institute Arts program.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Nori Sato

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Nori Sato to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Norie Sato is an artist living in Seattle. Her artwork for public contexts is derived from site and context-driven ideas. Her practice also includes works for galleries, museums and other installations. She strives to add meaning and human touch to the built environment and considers edges, transitions, and connections as important as the center. Her projects are located around the country, including for the San Diego International Airport Reflection Room; San Francisco International Airport Terminal 2; Arabian Library and McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center, both in Scottsdale; Miami International Airport; the Seattle Justice Center; Iowa State University's Hach Chemistry Building; Salt Lake City Light Rail; the new Port of Portland Headquarters; and University of Wisconsin/Madison's new Biochemistry Building, Current projects include mosaics for Ft. Worth's new Chisholm Trail Parkway and an artwork for the Union St. East-West Connector for Seattle's waterfront. She works in sculpture and 2-dimensional work, and in various media including glass, metal, terrazzo floors, integrated design work, landscape, video and light. She is a former member of the Public Art Network Council and former commissioner of the Seattle Design Commission

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Nanci Lanni

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Nanci Lanni to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Nanci Lanni has joined the International Sculpture Center Board of Trustees. Nanci Lanni is the Chair of Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park's Board of Trustees. Pyramid Hill is a 300 acre sculpture park with 30,000 visitors annually. Founded by Nanci Lanni's father, Harry T. Wilks, her leadership as the Special Projects Director, acting Co-Director, and her previous time on the board of Pyramid Hill has helped to preserve Harry T. Wilks's legacy and affirm Pyramid Hill's venerable reputation. In addition to Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, Nanci sat on the Board of Directors of Fitton Center of Fine Arts, and the Board of the Cincinnati Opera Company. Nanci Lanni built her professional career in the arts after receiving her BFA in sculpture from Syracuse University. The ISC Board and staff is thrilled to have Nanci enrich the board with her expertise and guidance.

The International Sculpture Center Welcomes New Board Member, Vicki Scuri

The International Sculpture Center (ISC), a global nonprofit arts service organization, announces the addition of Vicki Scuri to the ISC Board of Trustees.

Vicki Scuri is a prolific public artist boasting a 32 year career creating work all across the country. Her artwork inspires community identity and more-livable public spaces. As a public artist, she incorporates urban design, infrastructure, and green technologies to create a meaningful and engaging public realm. She uses symbolic patterns that play with sunlight and shadow over the sculptural form while engaging the entire site as her canvas. Notable public artworks of hers includes Airway Gateway Renovation Project: Redesign in El Paso, Texas, Arlington Boulevard, in Arlington Virginia, and Rock Creek Trail Pedestrian Bridge, in Silver Spring Maryland which was named one of the top 100 of 2013 by the Collaboration of Design and Art.
